I had the opportunity to talk with Authority Magazine about the online Udemy course I designed, "Life Skills for People of Color on the Autism Spectrum," addressing the unique needs of those of color with ASD, the research, my own experience, the myths surrounding autism, and why we need more support and resources for BIPOC on the spectrum. Read the interview here.
Despite the increase in autism awareness, BIPOC on the spectrum experience disproportionately more challenges, such as later/no diagnosis, poorer health outcomes, stigmatization, and unemployment.

visualatelier8.com/va8s-weekly-selection2 These past few months I've been working on the score for the feature film, Last Chance Charlene, directed by Tony Gapastione. Check out the trailer below! I am happy to share an animation that I've been collaborating on with director Seora Hong and Studio X of Academy of Art University. After earning 27 official selections in film festivals, it is now viewable online. This is a story of a man who feels like he has lost all reason to live. As he stands on the precipice of life and death, he faces an unexpected situation that may just save his life.

Made in collaboration with the talented director Tony Gapastione and his team at BraveMaker Media. More good news! Music to Redemption receives GFFA Special Mention for Best Original Score at the 2020 Global Film Festival Awards, Los Angeles. Very appreciative of the consideration! The soundtrack will be live Friday 10/30 on all platforms.
Out of 7000 entires, I am grateful to hear that Deserve You - a pop track I produce, mixed, and mastered for singers Belle Lee and Eiko Jin - earned a spot as semi-finalist in the 2020 Unsigned Only Music Competition.
It's been a long journey in creating the score, and I'm now happy to finally release the soundtrack to an animation called "Madina Papel".
Buy the album on Amazon Music! Bhauraw Avhad (aka VRTIGO) is a producer in Philadelphia. We talk about my upcoming tracks and film scoring projects on his podcast, About to Drop! Check out more from VRTIGO: www.vrtigomusic.com |
