About the Authors
Aftab Hafeez is a film composer, music producer, Googler on the autism spectrum based in Palo Alto, California. A lifelong artist, he has made a foray into digital art, specifically leveraging artificial intelligence to tell visual stories. His creative work is fueled by a desire to increase compassionate representations of neurodiversity, as seen in his debut book for children co-authored by Elaine Lai, titled I Love My Bunny.
Elaine Lai (she/they) is a PhD candidate in Religious Studies at Stanford University by day, where she studies how Buddhist literature plays with time. By night, Elaine is an aspiring filmmaker and TV writer whose work wrestles most with the question of how marginalized bodies can be free and experience joy while living within constraints of a deeply violent and wounded society.
